Buckton Aqua

Bempton FabricCCF0377-01

Buckton Aqua brings broad vertical bands of cool aqua, soft ivory and yellowed chartreuse to a finely textured textile. Subtle horizontal slubbing gives the otherwise clean stripes a gently tactile surface.

About this fabric

This 177 gsm fabric has a 140 cm usable width and a 34.5 cm horizontal pattern repeat, while the vertical repeat is 0 cm. The design is formed from broad, clearly defined vertical stripes rather than a conventional motif, with the aqua band reading cool and lightly muted beside the creamy ivory and more energetic chartreuse. Fine horizontal threads run across the surface, catching the light softly and keeping the colour blocks from appearing flat. Its mid-weight character makes it suitable for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Pair Buckton Aqua with pale timber, chalky walls and warm natural flooring to balance its cool aqua ground, then echo the chartreuse stripe in a cushion or small painted accent. The ivory band gives the colourway enough softness for relaxed curtains as well as tailored seating.

Use the cool aqua and ivory bands to lighten upholstery or full-length curtains, with chartreuse accents adding warmth.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
