Safar Cardamom

Curios Weaves FabricSAF0450-04

Safar Cardamom reads as a soft, cardamom-toned green with a gently weathered finish. Narrow vertical bands and tiny woven motifs give the design a crisp, rhythmic look without feeling hard or overly formal.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Curios Weaves collection has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial 334 gsm weight, giving the cloth enough body for structured uses while still suiting softer schemes. The repeat measures 39 cm vertically and 34.5 cm horizontally, and the pattern’s slim stripes are broken up by small ivory motifs and occasional accents of red, blue and warm ochre. In this colourway the green sits in a muted, spice-soft register rather than a bright botanical one, so the surface feels calm, slightly dry and easy to live with. With 50 threads per cm, the weave reads as fine and closely worked, which helps the pattern stay neat and defined.

How to use it

Use it on an accent chair, bench or cushions where the vertical stripe can add lift without overpowering the room. It pairs well with pale oak, chalky off-whites and deeper olive or rust accents to echo the tiny coloured details.

A fresh sage-led stripe that brings quiet colour and easy pattern to tailored interiors.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Safar Cardamom without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
