About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Curios Weaves collection has a usable width of 139 cm and a substantial weight of 334 gsm, giving it the feel of a versatile woven cloth. The design combines slim vertical bands with small ikat-like marks and little rectangular details, all held together in a warm shiitake beige palette. Flecks of terracotta, cocoa, pale gold and ivory sit gently against the ground, so the surface feels understated rather than high contrast. With a 39 cm vertical repeat and 34.5 cm horizontal repeat, the pattern has enough structure to suit tailored schemes while still looking relaxed. The dense 50 threads per cm help explain the crisp, finely worked texture visible in the weave.

How to use it

Use it on upholstered armchairs, banquettes or cushions where the warm neutral ground will soften darker woods. It also works well in rooms with clay, linen and oak finishes, where the tiny rust and gold notes can echo the rest of the scheme.

A warm neutral with fine multicolour detail, easy to pair with timber and natural linens.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Safar Shiitake without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
