About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a substantial 620 gsm weight and a usable width of 143 cm, which gives the cloth a properly upholstered feel. The surface reads as a fine, tightly woven ground with a small repeating stripe and short dash motifs that lighten the overall effect. In this Shiitake colourway, the beige base is warmed with mushroom and oat tones, while the pale stripes add a slightly chalky lift rather than sharp contrast. The 4.5 cm vertical repeat and 7 cm horizontal repeat create a regular, measured pattern that feels orderly and easy to live with.

How to use it

Use this colourway on a compact armchair, bench, or headboard where its warm neutral tone can soften the room without looking plain. It sits especially well with timber, linen, and stone finishes.

Pair with natural woods and chalky neutrals for a quietly tailored look.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
