About this fabric

From Sanderson’s Dorton Velvets collection, this velvet has a substantial 405 gsm weight and a usable width of 148 cm, making it a practical choice for upholstery. The swatch reads as a mellow, sunlit beige with a touch of golden warmth rather than a cool taupe, and the short pile gives it a smooth, lightly lustrous finish. With no pattern repeat, the colour and texture do all the work, creating a calm, even surface that feels tailored and understated. The dense handle suggested by the fabric’s weight and 102 threads per cm supports a smart, durable look on seating and cushions.

How to use it
