Toba Indigo

Curios Weaves FabricSAF0451-01

Toba Indigo is a crisp striped weave in cool indigo and pale natural tones, with a neatly textured surface that feels tailored and graphic. The vertical rhythm gives the fabric a clean, ordered look rather than a soft, painterly one.

About this fabric

Woven at 620 gsm with a 143 cm usable width, this fabric has the substantial handle and compact structure that suit upholstery. The stripe is built from narrow indigo bands and lighter slivers, creating a strong contrast that reads cool, sharp and quietly classic. Its 4.5 cm vertical repeat and 7 cm horizontal repeat give the design a disciplined cadence, while the high thread count of 134 threads per cm supports the finely worked texture visible in the cloth. The overall effect is smart and slightly nautical, with the darker blue grounding the paler ground colour.

How to use it

Use Toba Indigo on a pair of armchairs, a bench seat or tailored cushions where the narrow stripe can add structure. It also works well with pale timber, chalky paint finishes and plain linens that let the indigo pattern stand forward.

A crisp indigo stripe that brings tailored contrast to compact seating and cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
