Elysian Fabrics FabricSAF0277-01

Wendell Embroidery Honey/Grey shows a soft, warm cream ground scattered with delicate embroidered leaf sprays. The honey, taupe and grey stitching gives the design a gentle, airy rhythm across the cloth.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric from the Elysian Fabrics collection is a textile with a 137 cm usable width, a 30 m standard length, a 75 cm vertical repeat and a 65 cm horizontal repeat. At 270 gsm and 38 threads per cm, it reads as a substantial decorative cloth rather than a fine sheers-weight material. The colourway is light and mellow, with an ivory-cream base that lets the honeyed ochres, soft greys and small brown notes in the embroidery sit clearly on the surface. The motif feels painterly and lightly scattered, so the overall effect is calm and tailored rather than dense or busy.

How to use it

Use it for relaxed curtains, blinds or occasional upholstery where you want the warm cream ground to lift a room without feeling stark. It works especially well with oak, pale painted joinery and dusky neutral accents.

Pair with natural woods and muted linens to let the honey-toned embroidery stand out softly.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Wendell Embroidery Honey/Grey without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
