Thistle Garden Linen Thistle/Fig

Embleton Bay Fabrics FabricSAF0241-01

Thistle Garden Linen Thistle/Fig brings a loose, meadow-like botanical pattern to a soft cream linen ground. Watercolour thistles and seed heads drift across the cloth in thistle pink, figgy green and muted blue accents.

About this fabric

This Embleton Bay Fabrics design by Sanderson is supplied as a fabric with no performance finish noted, and its 208 gsm weight gives it a light-to-medium handle. The 137 cm usable width and 61 cm vertical repeat make the pattern easy to plan across larger drops, while the 137 cm horizontal repeat confirms the motif runs full-width. Visually, the cloth reads as warm cream rather than stark white, which softens the painterly thistles and keeps the pinks, sage greens and faded blues feeling fresh rather than sugary. The surface looks gently textured and linen-like, so the floral artwork sits with a relaxed, slightly country-house mood.

How to use it

Use it for curtains or Roman blinds where the cream ground can keep a room bright and the thistle-toned florals add movement. It also works well on occasional upholstery pieces or cushions if you want the botanical colour to sit softly against painted wood or pale oak.

A painterly botanical that suits airy curtains and relaxed upholstery accents.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Thistle Garden Linen Thistle/Fig without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
