Estuary Birds Chalk/Sepia

Embleton Bay Wallpapers WallpaperSAW0097-02

Estuary Birds Chalk/Sepia presents a pale chalk-toned coastal scene populated by sepia-grey wading birds, rounded rocks and lightly sketched water. The restrained contrast gives the illustration an airy, weathered character rather than a bold mural effect.

About this fabric

This wallpaper combines a warm chalk ground with delicate sepia and soft grey-brown drawing, showing long-legged waders, shorebirds, reeds, rocks and shallow water. The birds are distributed across the scene at different scales, while the pale washes and fine outlines keep the overall impression light and open. It is supplied at a usable width of 52 cm and a standard length of 10.05 m, with a 64 cm vertical pattern repeat and no horizontal repeat. The stated weight is 154 gsm.

How to use it

Use the chalk background to keep a smaller bedroom, bathroom or coastal-inspired sitting room feeling light, then echo the sepia-grey birds with natural timber, pale stone and warm linen. Its muted contrast also suits a full feature wall where the shoreline illustration can be read at close range.

A softly illustrated coastal scene that brings quiet movement and muted sepia detail to a chalk-toned wall.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Estuary Birds Chalk/Sepia without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
