Fringed Tulip Toile Jute

Sanderson x Giles Deacon Fabric FabricSAF0428-03

Fringed Tulip Toile Jute shows a classic floral toile pattern with a softly weathered, parchment-like ground. The blossoms and trailing stems read in warm sand and taupe, giving the design a gentle aged depth.

About this fabric

This Sanderson x Giles Deacon fabric has a usable width of 143 cm, a vertical pattern repeat of 94 cm and a horizontal repeat of 71 cm, so the tulip toile makes a clear, statement-scale pattern across larger lengths. At 265 gsm and 35.6 threads per cm, it sits in a substantial mid-weight category that suits both upholstery and drapery. The jute-toned ground looks creamy and matte rather than stark, while the floral motif is picked out in soft taupe, beige and brownish highlights that create a quietly antique finish. The overall effect is refined rather than bright, with enough contrast to show the pattern but enough softness to keep it calm.

How to use it

Use it where you want a traditional floral to feel lighter and more relaxed, such as an occasional chair, Roman blind or lined curtains. Its warm neutral palette sits easily with oak, limestone and other natural textures.

A softly aged neutral that brings a tailored, traditional feel to upholstered pieces or curtains.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Fringed Tulip Toile Jute without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
