Clementine Delft Blue

Voyage of Discovery Fabrics FabricSAF0081-04

Clementine in Delft Blue pairs a pale ivory ground with painterly blue blooms, fresh green foliage and slender natural branches. The large-scale botanical trail feels light and open, with the blue elements giving the design its cool, coastal character.

About this fabric

This fabric is from Sanderson’s Voyage of Discovery Fabrics collection and has a usable width of 138 cm, a vertical pattern repeat of 91 cm and a substantial 300 gsm weight. The design shows blue flowers in several tones, from soft washed cornflower to deeper delft accents, lifted by fresh green leaves and fine, bark-coloured stems. Against the warm off-white ground, the motif reads crisp and airy rather than dense, so the overall effect stays bright even with the generous repeat. With 49 threads per cm, the cloth has a refined woven finish that suits a decorative upholstery project as well as curtains or roman blinds.

How to use it

Use this colourway to bring a calm blue-and-green note into a room with painted woodwork, pale oak or rattan. It works especially well where you want a statement floral that still feels light against the wall or on a generously scaled seat.

The airy ivory ground and diluted blue florals keep the generous pattern feeling fresh rather than heavy.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
