Indienne Peacock Blueberry

Water Garden Fabrics FabricSAF0386-01

A vivid peacock blue ground gives this Indienne colourway real lift, with pink-blushed flowers, trailing foliage and ornamental birds scattered across the cloth. The overall effect is vivid and decorative, but still crisp enough for a tailored interior.

About this fabric

Indienne Peacock Blueberry from Sanderson’s Water Garden Fabrics collection is a printed fabric with a usable width of 138.5 cm and a substantial 236 gsm weight. The design shows large birds, branching stems and full peonies across a bright, saturated blue ground, with pale pinks, soft lilacs and fresh greens standing out sharply against the background. Its 91 cm vertical repeat and full-width 138.5 cm horizontal repeat indicate a broad, scenic layout that suits statement schemes. The cloth reads as a lively, mid-to-weighty decorative textile rather than a soft drape-only fabric, and the fine 74.1 threads per cm suggest a detailed print surface with plenty of pattern clarity.

How to use it

Use it where the blue can stay visible, such as an occasional chair, cushions or lined curtains, and balance it with chalky whites, pale wood or brushed brass. The cool peacock ground makes the pink florals feel brighter and more playful.

Pair with clean ivory or soft blush plains to let the vivid blue ground and painterly birds take centre stage.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
