Bonsai & Gingko Midnight/Orange

Water Garden Fabrics FabricSAF0379-02

Bonsai & Gingko Midnight/Orange shows a richly layered botanical scene on a deep midnight ground, with warm orange motifs that lift across the surface. The design reads bold and detailed, with a crisp repeat that gives the pattern plenty of movement.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric is supplied on a 136.5 cm usable width and has an 80 cm vertical repeat with a 34 cm horizontal repeat, giving the design a substantial scale. At 601 gsm and 180 threads per cm, it has the feel of a dense, finely woven furnishing cloth suited to hard-working applications. The midnight blue background makes the orange and pale tonal details stand out clearly, while the repeated tree and canopy shapes create a layered, almost tapestry-like effect. The overall impression is smart and grounded, with the warm highlights stopping the dark ground from feeling flat.

How to use it

Use this colourway on an armchair, ottoman or banquette where its deep blue ground can anchor the room. It works especially well with walnut, brass and chalky neutrals to echo the orange notes and sharpen the contrast.

Pair with warm timber and pale linen to balance the deep midnight ground.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
