Bonsai & Gingko Ruby

Bonsai & Gingko Ruby brings the collection’s stylised tree landscape to life in a vivid ruby red ground, lifted with pale mint foliage. The repeating arches and cloud-like canopies give the design a rich, layered rhythm.

About this fabric

This Sanderson fabric has a useable width of 136.5 cm and a generous 80 cm vertical repeat, so the bold motif reads with plenty of presence across larger pieces. At 601 gsm and 180 threads per cm, it has a substantial, tightly woven handle that suits statement upholstery. The ruby red ground feels bright and saturated rather than dark, while the pale mint motifs soften the overall effect and keep it from feeling heavy. The repeated tree forms create a decorative, almost tapestry-like surface that feels luxurious and collected.

How to use it

Use this ruby colourway on an accent chair, ottoman or banquette where its vivid red can lead the room. It pairs especially well with walnut, brass and soft stone shades, while the mint detail can be echoed in accessories.

Use with warm neutrals or deep teal for a striking, jewel-toned statement.

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bonsai & Gingko Ruby without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
