About this fabric
This Sanderson x National Trust Volume II fabric is made as a textile fabric with a usable width of 139.5 cm and a weight of 275 gsm, giving it enough body for upholstery as well as relaxed soft furnishings. The stripe reads very fine and orderly, with a 0.8 cm vertical repeat and 8 cm horizontal repeat that create a crisp, measured rhythm across the cloth. In this colourway, the berry red feels warm and cheerful rather than heavy, while the leaf green keeps the overall effect fresh and slightly spring-like. The cream ground softens both colours, so the design feels bright but not sharp, and the woven texture adds a subtle, tactile depth.
How to use it
This colourway works well on a small armchair, bench cushion or tub seat where the narrow stripe can add detail without overwhelming the room. Pair it with pale painted wood, natural oak and plain ivory fabrics to keep the berry-and-leaf palette balanced.
Use with warm woods and plain linens to let the lively stripe stay crisp.

Pairs well with
A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Barneby Stripe Berry/Leaf without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it
Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
