About this fabric

Chinoiserie Hall Cinnabar Red is a substantial fabric at 545 gsm, with a 130 cm usable width and a generous 61.5 cm vertical and 64.5 cm horizontal repeat. The cloth shows a saturated warm red ground that reads bright and energetic rather than dark or muted, allowing the floral sprays, butterflies and birds to stand out clearly. Pale pink, cream and soft yellow blooms are threaded through light green stems, giving the design a lifted contrast against the rich background. With 85 threads per cm, the weave appears finely worked and gives the print a crisp, textile-rich finish suited to decorative upholstery.

How to use it

Use this cinnabar red colourway to bring heat and drama to an armchair, ottoman or dining seat, where the bright ground will keep the chinoiserie motif feeling fresh. It also pairs well with lacquered woods, warm brass and ivory accents to balance the richness of the red.
