About this fabric

Bamboo & Bird from Sanderson's Water Garden Fabrics collection is a patterned fabric with a usable width of 141.5 cm, a standard length of 60 m, and a generous repeat of 72.5 cm vertically and 71 cm horizontally. At 265 gsm with 35.6 threads per cm, it sits in a versatile mid-weight range that suits both curtains and upholstery in the right setting. In this Scallion Green/Fuchsia colourway, the green foliage reads crisp and slightly yellowed rather than deep olive, while the pink blooms and birds add a cheerful, saturated lift. The cream ground keeps the print airy, letting the layered leaves and blossoms stay clear rather than heavy.

How to use it

Pair it with painted timber, cane or pale upholstery to let the scallion green foliage stay bright and garden-fresh. It works especially well in sunlit rooms where the fuchsia notes can read as a vivid accent rather than overpowering the scheme.

Use where you want a lively, painterly statement with a fresh green ground and bright floral contrast.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Bamboo & Bird Scallion Green/Fuchsia without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
