This Esala colourway sets slim, branching berry trees against a pale chalk ground. Emerald and lime leaf forms bring saturated green points, while small blue-grey accents soften the repeat.

About this fabric

The design is arranged as tall, airy trees, with fine branching lines carrying rounded berry-like leaves in emerald, bright lime and occasional blue-grey. Against the chalk background, the deeper emerald shapes give the pattern cool depth while the lime marks catch the eye with a fresher, more luminous tone. The photographed face reads smooth and lightly textured rather than plush, suiting the versatile character of this 228 gsm fabric. It has a 137 cm usable width, a 64 cm vertical repeat and 44 threads per centimetre, giving the large botanical repeat clear presence across upholstery or drapery.

How to use it

Use this cool, lively colourway on a blind, relaxed curtain or occasional upholstered chair where the emerald and lime foliage can stand out against the chalk ground. Pair it with pale woods, soft grey-blue accents and uncomplicated neutral upholstery.

Use the pale chalk ground with natural timber and warm neutrals, or let the emerald and lime leaves energise a simple scheme.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
