Eco-Velvet Velvet

Eco-Velvet Caviar appears almost black, with a subtle charcoal cast that emerges where the velvet catches the light. Its smooth surface falls into fluid folds, revealing a restrained, soft sheen.

About this fabric

Catalogued as a velvet from Warwick’s Eco-Velvet collection, this colourway has a deep, near-black tone rather than a flat, stark black. The close, smooth pile creates gentle highlights across the raised folds while the recessed areas read almost ink-dark. The plain surface keeps attention on the depth and movement created by the draped cloth. As a velvet, it is particularly well suited to upholstered seating and other tactile interior applications.

How to use it

Pair this deep charcoal-black velvet with warm timber, aged brass or pale stone to soften its intensity. Its low-key sheen also works well on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard in a darker scheme.

Use this near-black velvet to bring depth and a softly polished finish to sofas, chairs or headboards.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
