Ghent Smoke

Ghent Fabric

Ghent Smoke is a cool, muted grey textile with a fine irregular weave that becomes especially visible across its gathered folds. Its softly shifting surface gives the colour subtle depth rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric

The fabric combines smoke-grey and lighter grey threads in a delicate crosshatched texture, creating a quietly layered appearance. Fine horizontal and vertical lines are visible across the surface, while the loose folds show how the weave catches light differently from one area to another. The cloth appears supple in the photograph, with enough visual texture to work across both upholstery and drapery applications. No performance features are noted for this fabric.

How to use it

Use Ghent Smoke where a cool, restrained grey is needed to soften a room without introducing a strong pattern. Its fine woven texture would sit comfortably on an understated occasional chair, cushion or relaxed curtain alongside pale timber, stone and charcoal accents.

The cool smoke-grey tone and fine woven texture bring understated depth to upholstery, cushions or softly gathered window treatments.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
