About this fabric

The design is a formal scrolling damask, with curling acanthus-like leaves, floral details and pale outlining woven across the blue and beige ground. Its muted blue-grey tone avoids a bright or nautical feel, while the warm beige highlights give the pattern depth and soften the overall contrast. Brocatello Blue has a usable width of 140 cm, a vertical repeat of 72.5 cm and a horizontal repeat of 70 cm. At 300 gsm with 97 threads per cm, it has the substance of a versatile mid-weight textile suitable for both upholstery and drapery.

How to use it

Use Brocatello Blue to upholster a traditional armchair or occasional seat, then echo its warm beige ground with plain curtains or cushions. Its softened blue-grey tone also works well with weathered timber, aged brass and chalky neutrals.

A cool, softly aged damask that brings structured ornament to upholstery, curtains and decorative cushions.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
