About this fabric

This Zoffany velvet is woven with a large-scale damask repeat measuring 92cm vertically by 66cm horizontally, giving the design a strong, considered presence across upholstered furniture. The Reign Blue colourway shifts between slate blue, blue-grey and near-charcoal shadows, while raised areas catch the light with a restrained lustre. At 416gsm and 132cm usable width, it has the visual and physical substance suited to upholstery. The supplied specification also records 57.7 threads per cm and a standard length of 60m.

How to use it

Use Reign Blue to upholster a traditional armchair, curved sofa or headboard in a room with warm timber and aged brass, allowing the cool smoky tone to anchor richer neutrals. Pair it with plain charcoal, faded blue or soft stone textiles so the detailed damask remains the focal point.

Use this deep smoky blue velvet on a statement chair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its intricate damask can be appreciated.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
