About this fabric

This Zoffany fabric has a substantial 440gsm weight and a 13-threads-per-cm construction, giving the densely patterned surface a grounded upholstery feel. The colourway is led by cool, muted grey with an olive-taupe cast, while bone highlights pick out the floral rosettes and black-charcoal lines define the smaller ornamental details. Its pattern repeat measures 65.5cm vertically by 140cm horizontally, allowing the large medallions and fan-like floral forms to read clearly across a broad upholstered panel. The lightly mottled ground and varied tonal drawing soften the contrast, so the ornate damask feels timeworn rather than sharply formal.
