About this fabric

This Zoffany velvet reads as a softened eau de nil green, sitting between sage and sea-green with a discreet greyed quality. Its 420 gsm weight gives the surface visible body, while the pile creates the pale diagonal highlights and deeper green areas seen across the folded swatch. The fabric has a 144 cm usable width and 71 threads per cm, with no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat. With its substantial handle and light-responsive finish, it is particularly well suited to upholstered furniture where the changing nap can add depth to a single-colour scheme.

How to use it

Use this cool eau de nil on a statement armchair, headboard or sofa to introduce a quiet green focal point without the brightness of a saturated emerald. Pair its softened sheen with chalky neutrals, pale timber and warm brushed metal for balance.
