About this fabric

This plain velvet has a substantial 420 gsm weight, making it particularly well suited to upholstery where its dense, tactile surface can be appreciated. The 144 cm usable width provides generous coverage, while the supplied 71 threads-per-cm construction reflects the closely worked appearance visible in the swatch. With no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, the surface remains uninterrupted across cushions, chair backs and larger upholstered forms. Light pools along the raised folds, bringing out a cool, saturated emerald highlight against the shade's darker forest-green depth.

How to use it

Use the deep emerald tone on a statement armchair, sofa or headboard, pairing its cool green depth with dark timber, aged brass or warm neutral walls. Keep surrounding patterns restrained so the velvet's changing light catches the eye.
