About this fabric

This plain velvet reads as a near-black anthracite rather than a flat, absolute black, with gentle tonal variation where the pile catches the light. There is no visible motif, and the supplied pattern repeat is 0 cm vertically and horizontally. At 420 gsm, the fabric has a substantial weight suited to upholstery, while its 144 cm usable width supports broad coverage. The supplied construction detail of 71 threads per centimetre is consistent with the swatch’s finely even surface.

How to use it

Use this deep anthracite colourway on a tailored sofa, headboard or occasional chair where its near-black depth can anchor softer grey, stone and warm timber tones. Position it where changing light can reveal the velvet’s restrained sheen rather than making the surface read completely flat.
