Sicilian Lion Bone Black/Coppper

Sicilian Lion Bone Bone Black/Copper sets paired, highly detailed lions in aged copper against a deep charcoal-black ground. The distressed surface of the motif gives the symmetrical design a timeworn, graphic character.

About this fabric

The large mirrored lion motif is rendered in a warm, muted copper that catches against the cool near-black background, while broken edges and speckled marks give the pattern an antique, tactile appearance. A 64 cm vertical repeat carries the paired heraldic figures across the design, with no horizontal repeat specified. The wallpaper has a 68.6 cm usable width, a standard length of 10.05 m and a listed weight of 173 gsm. Its strong black-and-copper contrast makes the formal animal imagery read with considerable depth rather than as a delicate decorative pattern.

How to use it

Use this colourway as a dramatic feature wall in a library, dining room or entrance hall, pairing the charcoal-black ground with dark timber and aged brass. The warm copper lions also work against deep brown leather or subdued neutral upholstery.

Use the near-black ground and aged copper lions to give a study, hallway or dining room a dramatic heraldic backdrop.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
