Domino Velvets VelvetZOF0179-05

About this fabric

This Zoffany velvet has a dark, almost black-brown ground that gives the colourway a grounded, intimate mood, while the antique-gold details catch the light across the raised-looking texture. The pattern resolves into alternating vertical panels of fine herringbone chevrons, looping oval marks and organic vine forms, giving the surface both rhythm and depth. At 569 gsm, it is a substantial textile suited to upholstery, with a 138 cm usable width. The pattern repeat measures 33 cm vertically by 45 cm horizontally, so the directional bands should be planned carefully across larger upholstered pieces.

How to use it

Set the black-and-antique-gold velvet against warm timber, smoked glass or dark-painted furniture to reinforce its moody depth. It would make a particularly assured statement on a contemporary sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard.

Use this weighty black-and-gold velvet to bring graphic depth to an armchair, sofa or statement headboard.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
