About this fabric

The dark blue ground reads as smoky slate rather than bright navy, giving the design a cool, composed depth. Each paisley is picked out in muted grey-blue, with fine internal detailing that becomes more visible where the velvet pile reflects the light. At 639gsm and 145 threads per cm, this is a substantial, densely constructed velvet with a strong upholstery presence. The pattern has a 40.5cm vertical repeat and a 35cm horizontal repeat, while the usable width is 140cm.

How to use it

Use Orissa Velvet Blue on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its cool slate tone can anchor warmer wood and soft neutral furnishings. Pair it with charcoal, aged silver and pale stone to emphasise the grey paisley detailing.
