About this fabric

This Cotton Velvet has a rich green slate colour that feels muted rather than bright, with the cool undertone becoming especially clear in the darker areas of the fold. At 420gsm and 71 threads per cm, its substantial velvet construction is well suited to upholstery. The usable width is 144 cm, and the fabric has no vertical or horizontal pattern repeat, giving the surface a clean, uninterrupted appearance. Light skims the pile across the diagonal fold, revealing a soft, brushed texture without a printed motif.

How to use it

Use this deep green slate on a sofa, headboard or generously shaped armchair where its dark, cool tone can anchor warm timber, aged brass and natural stone. Keep surrounding fabrics quieter to let the velvet’s changing pile provide the visual depth.
