About this colour

#D7CEC7 is a light, muted mushroom shade with a gentle warmth that keeps it from feeling stark. It lifts light well without looking bright, so it softens a wall rather than flattening it. In a north-facing room it can lean more taupe and slightly cooler, while in south-facing light the beige warmth becomes more apparent and the colour feels kinder. Against dark oak, walnut, or painted joinery it gives a clean but relaxed contrast, and beside linen, camel, tobacco, or muted rose upholstery it stays quiet and supportive.
