About this colour

This shade reads as a muted beige-grey with a gentle pink-brown warmth, sitting close to mushroom and stone rather than a clean taupe. Its #B3AAA3 value means it reflects light softly rather than brightly, so it feels calm and understated on a wall. In a north-facing room it will look cooler and a little more grey, with the smoky side of the colour becoming more apparent. In south-facing light it warms up and the pearl note comes forward, giving the surface a smoother, more inviting finish. It sits well beside pale oak, dark walnut, brushed brass and linen in natural neutrals, as well as upholstered pieces in oatmeal, driftwood and muted olive.

How to use it
