About this colour

At #CDB9B8, Faded Rose reads as a muted blush with a clear grey note, so it feels warm without turning sweet. It reflects light softly rather than brightly, which helps it sit calmly in a room and makes it especially useful where you want colour without sharp contrast. In north-facing light it can look cooler and more stone-like, with the rose tone pulled back. In south-facing light the warmth comes forward and the colour feels fuller, creamier and more obviously pink. It works well beside pale oak, aged brass, off-whites and upholstered pieces in taupe, linen, mushroom or deeper berry tones.
