About this colour

This shade reads as a muted green-brown with a distinct warm undertone, so it feels settled rather than bright. The #B3A26E value gives it enough depth to hold its own on a wall, while still reflecting some light and avoiding a heavy or muddy finish. In north-facing rooms it can look more olive and restrained, with the warmth pulled back a little; in south-facing light it opens out and shows more of its golden green side. It sits comfortably beside natural oak, aged brass, leather, linen and deeper greens, and it is strong enough for both wall colour and painted woodwork in Zoffany’s listed finishes.

How to use it
