Hessian Green

2026 Paint PaintZOP1064-34

Hessian Green is Zoffany’s quietly grounded take on green, lifted with ochre warmth and softened into a calm, earthy paint colour. It sits well within the 2026 Paint collection.

About this colour

This shade reads as a muted green-brown with a distinct warm undertone, so it feels settled rather than bright. The #B3A26E value gives it enough depth to hold its own on a wall, while still reflecting some light and avoiding a heavy or muddy finish. In north-facing rooms it can look more olive and restrained, with the warmth pulled back a little; in south-facing light it opens out and shows more of its golden green side. It sits comfortably beside natural oak, aged brass, leather, linen and deeper greens, and it is strong enough for both wall colour and painted woodwork in Zoffany’s listed finishes.

How to use it

Use Hessian Green in a sitting room, study or hall where you want a colour that feels composed and lived-in. It works especially well with walnut furniture, patterned curtains in rust or stone tones, and painted joinery in cream or deeper green.

A warm, muted green that brings an easy, settled feel to a room.

Order it with the cloth

A pot comes off the same order as the fabric, so the wall and the chair in front of it are chosen together. The making is ours: cut, sewn and fitted in our own Heybridge workshop, with Simon over every stage.

Pairs well with

Hessian Green is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
