Double Ice Floes

2026 Paint PaintZOP1024-34

Double Ice Floes is a soft, cool-toned paint colour with a quiet green-grey note. In Zoffany’s 2026 Paint range, it reads as restrained and settled rather than bright or chalky.

About this colour

This shade, #C3C6BB, sits between grey and green with a slight mineral cast, so it lifts a room gently without feeling pale. In north-facing light it can read cooler and more silvery, with the green edge becoming subtler and the grey taking over. In south-facing light the warmth in the room softens it, bringing out a calmer sage-like note while still keeping the colour muted. It sits well beside pale oak, walnut, blackened metal and natural linens, and it gives a clean backdrop to upholstery in deeper greens, taupes and muted blues. As a wall colour or on joinery, it stays composed in all three finishes: Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion and True Matt.

How to use it

Use it in a sitting room, study or hallway where you want a gentle colour that will not compete with patterned curtains or upholstered furniture. It works especially well with painted woodwork in off-white, or with timber finishes that have a little warmth.

A calm grey-green that stays understated on the wall.

Pairs well with

Double Ice Floes is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
