Norsk Blue

2026 Paint PaintZOP1089-22

Norsk Blue is a soft, weathered grey-green with a cool edge, drawn down by its blue note into something calm and settled. In Zoffany’s 2026 Paint range, it sits quietly rather than brightly, making it easy to live with on walls and woodwork.

About this colour

This shade reads as a pale, restrained green-grey with enough blue in it to stop it feeling dusty. The #B4B6A8 value gives it a gentle lift, so it reflects light without turning bright, and the finish choices in Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion and True Matt will all keep that composed look. In north-facing light it can feel cooler and more slate-like, with the green slipping back. In south-facing rooms it warms slightly and shows more of its olive side, especially beside oak, walnut, chalky whites and muted blue or linen upholstery. It works well where you want colour that is present but never loud, particularly on joinery, panelled walls or cabinetry.

How to use it

Use Norsk Blue in a sitting room, hallway or bedroom where you want a calm backdrop for pale oak, painted trim or darker timber. It sits neatly beside natural linen, faded blue-green upholstery and warm neutral curtains, especially when the woodwork is kept in the same family or in a crisp off-white.

A quiet grey-green that gives a wall a settled, easy presence.

Order it with the cloth

A pot comes off the same order as the fabric, so the wall and the chair in front of it are chosen together. The making is ours: cut, sewn and fitted in our own Heybridge workshop, with Simon over every stage.

Pairs well with

Norsk Blue is a wall colour, so these are the cloths that sit against it: one of them on the curtains, the paint behind. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.
