About this colour

This shade reads as a pale, restrained green-grey with enough blue in it to stop it feeling dusty. The #B4B6A8 value gives it a gentle lift, so it reflects light without turning bright, and the finish choices in Acrylic Eggshell, Elite Emulsion and True Matt will all keep that composed look. In north-facing light it can feel cooler and more slate-like, with the green slipping back. In south-facing rooms it warms slightly and shows more of its olive side, especially beside oak, walnut, chalky whites and muted blue or linen upholstery. It works well where you want colour that is present but never loud, particularly on joinery, panelled walls or cabinetry.

How to use it

Use Norsk Blue in a sitting room, hallway or bedroom where you want a calm backdrop for pale oak, painted trim or darker timber.
