Cape Ecru

Monterey Collection FabricCAPE

Cape Ecru is a quietly refined ecru stripe with a soft, chalky look and barely-there vertical movement. The pale beige ground keeps it light and calm, while the fine pinstripes add just enough structure to register on the surface.

About this fabric

This decorative fabric is composed of 64% cotton and 36% polyester, and it is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes. With a 40,000 rub test and a width of 138cm, it has the practical strength for hardworking interiors while still reading softly in the hand. The 9cm horizontal pattern repeat creates a restrained vertical stripe effect that feels tailored rather than bold. Visually, the colourway is an airy ecru with warm beige notes and a gently matte finish, giving the design a relaxed but polished presence.

How to use it

Use Cape Ecru where you want a light, tailored fabric that won’t overpower a room: it suits streamlined upholstery, smart curtains, and padded headsboards. Its warm neutral tone works especially well with oak, linen, sand and muted taupe finishes.

A quiet ecru stripe that layers neatly with natural timber and soft neutrals.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
