Cape Pine

Monterey Collection FabricCAPE

Cape Pine is a muted olive stripe with fine pale pin-lines running through a soft, grounded ground. The effect is tailored and understated, with just enough contrast to keep the design crisp.

About this fabric

Woven in 64% cotton and 36% polyester, Cape Pine is specified for severe contract upholstery and drapes, and its 40,000 rub test confirms a hard-wearing finish. The fabric measures 138cm wide and has a substantial handle at 472gsm, giving the cloth enough body for upholstery while still working neatly at window dressings. Visually, the colourway reads as a dusty olive green with a dry, matte look, while the narrow ivory pinstripes add a subtle vertical rhythm without feeling busy. Made in India, this decorative stripe has a calm, disciplined character that feels more tailored than rustic.

How to use it

Use Cape Pine where you want colour that is earthy but controlled: it suits boxy upholstery, smart benches, or full-length curtains with a clean line. Pair the muted olive ground with warm timber, parchment, or deep bronze accents to bring out its understated depth.

A restrained olive stripe that brings quiet structure to tailored upholstery or drapery.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
