Lombardo Vermillion

Herbaria Fabric

Lombardo Vermillion combines vivid vermillion-orange accents with cool teal, leafy green, blue and chalky cream across a densely painterly surface. The colourway has a lively, layered depth rather than reading as a single flat red.

About this fabric

The close view shows a dense, tactile-looking textile surface covered with irregular, foliage-like and mineral-brush marks. Vermillion and burnt-orange flashes punctuate the cooler teal, blue and green ground, while cream areas lift the darker passages and give the pattern a weathered, expressive contrast. The closely worked texture makes this fabric read as a substantial upholstery textile, with the motif remaining richly varied across the visible surface. No performance features are noted for this fabric, so its defining character is the intense colour interplay and textured painterly finish.

How to use it

Use Lombardo Vermillion on a statement chair, bench or occasional sofa where its orange-red accents can warm timber and neutral rooms. Balance the saturated vermillion with deep green, aged blue or chalky cream upholstery and accessories.

Use this richly layered colourway to bring painterly vermillion, teal and green depth to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
