Filigrane Agate

Herbaria Fabric

Filigrane Agate combines a pale, chalky agate ground with a richly scattered arrangement of botanical and filigree-like marks. Teal, ochre, grey and muted green details give the light colourway a softly weathered, layered appearance.

About this fabric

The design is visibly built from fine leafy fragments, curling outlines and small floral-like forms, creating a medium-scale all-over pattern rather than a single focal motif. Its pale ground keeps the overall impression airy, while the cooler teal marks sit alongside warm ochre accents and subdued grey-green detail. The surface reads as a softly textured textile with a matt, painterly character rather than a glossy finish. No composition, width, rub test or performance features are supplied for this colourway.

How to use it

Use Filigrane Agate on relaxed upholstery or full-length curtains where its pale ground can brighten the setting. Pick out the teal for cooler accents, or echo its ochre flecks with aged brass, honeyed wood and warm neutral furnishings.

Use the pale agate ground to lighten a room, while teal, ochre and grey details add a gently collected feel.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
