Abelia Denim

Abelia Denim is a cool, muted blue textile with a softly weathered surface, where fine tonal shifts create depth across the cloth. Its close-up texture reads tactile and slightly crinkled rather than patterned.

About this fabric

The denim-blue ground moves between slate, blue-grey and subtly lighter threads, giving the surface a quiet, mineral quality. Irregular, etched-looking marks are visible throughout, but the supplied vertical and horizontal pattern repeats are both 0 cm, so the design can be handled without matching a motif. At 580gsm, Abelia Denim has a substantial weight that makes it particularly well suited to upholstery. The usable width is 140 cm and the standard length is 30 m.

How to use it

Use this cool denim shade on a generous sofa, occasional chair or upholstered headboard where its mottled surface can add depth without introducing a strong repeated pattern. Pair it with chalky whites, pale timber and warm tan accents to balance the blue-grey tone.

A substantial denim-blue upholstery cloth that brings cool, tactile depth to sofas, chairs and headboards.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
