Chinchilla Pewter

Expressions Performance Wallcoverings WallpaperCCW0002-03

Chinchilla Pewter presents a softly weathered field of cool grey and gentle taupe, with blurred rectangular forms and fine brushed striations. Its restrained tonal movement creates texture without a dominant motif.

About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke wallcovering has a 53 cm useable width and comes in a standard 10.05 m length. The design has a 0 cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeat, matching the image’s continuous, non-directional appearance. Across the muted pewter-grey ground, hazy blocks, faint horizontal marks and softly varied shading give the surface a quietly distressed character. At 398 gsm, it has a substantial specification while retaining the calm, low-contrast look shown here.

How to use it

Use this cool pewter-grey colourway across a contemporary living room, bedroom or study where its softened taupe undertones can temper sharper black, charcoal or pale timber details. The barely defined blocks work especially well on broad walls, allowing artwork and furnishings to remain the focus.

Its low-contrast pewter mottling brings quiet depth to contemporary walls without a strong repeat.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
