About this fabric

The close-up shows a blue-grey shade that reads darker at the edges and softer where the light catches the weave, giving the colour a muted, settled depth rather than a bright navy effect. Fine crosswise and lengthwise yarn variation creates a gently mottled surface without a visible motif. With a 290gsm weight and 140cm usable width, this fabric has the substance for upholstery while remaining suitable for drapery. The supplied standard length is 40m, and the 0cm vertical and horizontal pattern repeats confirm its plain, non-directional format.

How to use it

Use Highlander Damson to upholster a reading chair, bench or sofa where its cool slate-blue tone can anchor pale timber, warm neutrals or brushed metal. As curtains, it will bring a softly shadowed blue-grey layer without introducing a competing pattern.

A cool, charcoal-cast slate blue that brings understated depth to upholstered seating, curtains and layered schemes.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
