Latour Damson

Latour FabricCCF0086-03

Latour Damson combines a pale cream ground with irregular damson-purple vertical marks, creating a painterly striated effect across the cloth. Its visibly textured surface gives the colourway depth rather than a flat, uniform finish.

About this fabric

At 431gsm, Latour Damson has the substantial weight suited to upholstery, with a 142cm usable width for practical cutting. The design is built from broken vertical bands, washes and fine lines in deep damson purple, softened by greyed mauve and warm cream accents. Its 101.5cm vertical repeat and 140cm horizontal repeat give the large-scale pattern a pronounced directional presence. The damson tones read rich and slightly muted against the light ground, while the uneven surface catches the light across each streak.

How to use it

Pair Latour Damson with warm ivory, mushroom and aged timber to balance its pale ground, or use dark plum accents to draw out the deeper purple streaks. The vertical movement works particularly well on statement chairs, headboards and tailored sofas.

Use the cream ground and deep damson-purple streaks to add graphic depth to upholstered seating or occasional chairs.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
