Gautier Taupe

Latour FabricCCF0083-08

Gautier Taupe combines a warm, muted taupe ground with irregular cream markings that run in broken vertical trails. The close, tactile weave gives the colourway a softly textured depth rather than a flat neutral appearance.

About this fabric

At 546gsm, this is a substantial woven fabric with the presence expected of an upholstery textile. Its 140cm usable width is arranged around a 52cm vertical repeat and a 23.5cm horizontal repeat, allowing the organic pattern to build into a continuous, softly undulating surface. The taupe base reads warm and gently greyed, while the lighter cream tracery creates quiet contrast without becoming stark. A 40m standard length is supplied for larger upholstery or coordinated furnishing requirements.

How to use it

Use Gautier Taupe on a statement armchair, sofa or upholstered headboard where its warm grey-brown tone can soften a room. Pair it with ivory, oat, weathered wood and brushed metal to echo the cream markings and understated woven texture.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gautier Taupe without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
