About this fabric

The 546 gsm weight makes this a substantial fabric suited to upholstery, while the close weave gives the design a grounded, durable-looking presence. Narrow, irregular vertical markings run through the espresso ground, shifting between dark chocolate brown and lighter taupe as the texture catches the light. The pattern measures 52 cm vertically by 23.5 cm horizontally, creating a noticeable but controlled repeat across upholstered forms. Supplied at 140 cm wide in a standard 40 m length, it offers useful scope for coordinated upholstery cutting.

How to use it

Use the warm espresso tone to anchor a reading chair, sofa or ottoman, pairing it with oak, smoked timber and soft stone upholstery. The lighter taupe markings can be echoed in cushions or curtains to draw out the pattern’s textured contrast without competing with it.

The dense espresso-and-taupe weave brings tactile depth to occasional chairs, sofas and ottomans.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
