Gautier Lagoon

Latour FabricCCF0083-04

Gautier Lagoon brings a saturated lagoon-blue ground together with irregular ivory streaks, creating a lively, vertically directional surface. The close, tactile texture gives the colourway depth rather than a flat printed appearance.

About this fabric

This Clarke & Clarke fabric has a vivid turquoise-lagoon tone, broken up by cream, branching marks that run in a loosely vertical rhythm. At 546gsm, it has the substantial weight expected of an upholstery textile, while the textured surface softens the contrast between the blue ground and pale motif. The pattern repeats every 52cm vertically and 23.5cm horizontally, giving the abstract streaks a clear but not oversized scale across a larger upholstered form. In changing light, the blue reads cool and saturated, with the ivory areas providing crisp definition.

How to use it

Use Gautier Lagoon on a statement armchair, ottoman or sofa where its cool blue colour and ivory vertical movement can act as the room’s graphic focus. Balance it with warm natural timber, pale stone or quiet cream upholstery elsewhere.

Use the saturated lagoon-blue and ivory contrast to bring graphic energy to an upholstered chair, sofa or headboard.

Pairs well with

A pattern needs somewhere for the eye to rest, so these are the plains and textures that sit beside Gautier Lagoon without fighting it. Mixed across the houses we hold, which is the part a single supplier's book cannot do.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
