Empire Chartreuse

Manhattan FabricCCF0209-01

Empire Chartreuse combines vivid chartreuse with charcoal, soft grey and a warm cream ground in a strongly graphic stepped-zigzag design. Its woven surface gives the angular pattern a tactile, subtly irregular finish rather than a flat printed appearance.

About this fabric

At 566gsm, this substantial woven textile has the visual weight suited to upholstery. The 137cm usable width provides a generous working surface for furniture projects, while the 25m standard length supports larger orders. Repeating stepped arches and zigzag bands measure 24cm vertically by 8.5cm horizontally. Against the pale cream and grey ground, the chartreuse reads as a saturated yellow-green accent, balanced by deep charcoal bands and softer mid-grey motifs.

How to use it

Use Empire Chartreuse on a statement armchair, headboard or occasional sofa where its yellow-green bands can energise a neutral room. Pair it with warm cream upholstery details and charcoal-painted or dark timber furniture to echo the fabric’s strongest tones.

Use the chartreuse and charcoal zigzags to bring structured colour to upholstered seating.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
