About this fabric

Empire Ebony is a dense, graphic textile woven in black, charcoal grey and ivory, with stepped zigzag bands running horizontally across the face. The near-black bands create the strongest contrast, while the pale ground and grey passages soften the geometry with a lightly mottled, tactile surface. At 566 gsm and 137 cm usable width, it has the substantial presence suited to upholstery. The design has a 24 cm vertical repeat and an 8.5 cm horizontal repeat, with a standard 25 m length for planning larger furnishing projects.

How to use it

Pair the cool ebony, charcoal and ivory palette with black-painted furniture, pale boucle or warm natural timber. The strong horizontal zigzag can anchor a statement chair, headboard or ottoman without relying on additional colour.

Use the ivory ground and charcoal bands to balance dark timber, pale upholstery or monochrome schemes.
