About this fabric

This substantial 566gsm textile is well suited to upholstery, with a bold stepped geometric design arranged in repeating horizontal bands. The richest plum sections read as cool, dark damson, while blush and pale grey layers soften the ivory ground rather than creating a high-contrast effect. Its 24cm vertical repeat and 8.5cm horizontal repeat provide a clearly measured pattern for planning upholstered panels. The fabric has a 137cm usable width and is supplied in a standard 25m length.

How to use it

Pair Empire Damson with warm ivory and chalky grey upholstery details to let the plum bands provide depth without overwhelming the room. Blush accents will draw out the quieter mauve tones visible in the weave.

Use the deep plum bands to anchor upholstery, with blush, grey and ivory accents picked up around the room.

Paint that goes with it

Two ways to take the room. Both colours are from houses we hold, so a pot can come off the same order as the cloth. Screens shift colour, so treat these as a direction and bring the cloth to the shelf before you buy the paint.
